For this beginners’ patchwork course you will make simple Japanese folded blocks that are constructed and quilted in one go. During the day you will be shown how blocks can be left as single items to make coasters or joined to create a ready quilted or embroidered mini quilt. The blocks can be either hand or machine made and are good for using up small scraps.
Materials provided: wadding and some fabric scraps.
Bring your own: 2 x fat quarters of fabric (one plain or minimal pattern), a basic sewing kit (needles, pins, thimble), and cotton threads etc. Sewing machine is optional.
